The “Protection is Origin of the Story” Project, funded by the Etisalat Foundation for Development and Community Care (2021):
The project was implemented in cooperation with the Orouba Rotary Club. The project aimed at early detection of heart diseases in the age group 25 to 60 years and primary and preparatory school students in 7 districts in Sharkia Governorate. The results of the project were as follows: –
- Health awareness was provided to 4,981 school students regarding maintaining public health and preventing diseases, especially heart disease.
- Comprehensive medical examinations were provided to 4,981 school students, and 164 medical cases were diagnosed and referred for follow-up and appropriate treatment on a regular basis, according to the discretion of the specialist doctor.
- Comprehensive heart examinations was conducted for 14,018 citizens (men and women), and 1,039 heart cases were diagnosed: 951 were given free treatment, 74 were referred to the National Heart Institute to receive medical or surgical treatment, and 14 cases were referred to Health Insurance Hospitals in the governorate.
