Medical convoys

The medical convoy aims for the early detection of heart disease patients.

Procedures for Implementing the Medical Convoy:

• The convoy will be conducted around the Etisalat branch in each targeted center, prioritizing locations that can accommodate a large number of patients. The implementation of the convoy will be as follows:

• Preparation of several specialized clinics, including: – Adult Cardiology Clinic – Congenital Heart Defects Clinic (Children) – Heart Muscle Weakness Clinic – Consultant Cardiology Clinic for critical cases – Echocardiography Clinic – Cardiac Electrophysiology (Heart Electricity) Clinic.

• A pharmacy providing free medication to patients (as available).

• State-funded treatment decisions for positive cases or referral to health insurance for employees.

• Follow-up of positive cases at the Heart Institute with the assistance of the association’s team.
• Conducting ECG, blood pressure measurement, and blood sugar tests.

The Chronic Heart Disease Clinic aims to develop a treatment plan and create medical files for chronic cases.

Procedures for Implementing the Medical Clinic:

• A medical clinic that conducts examinations for chronic heart conditions and performs a series of comprehensive and precise heart tests, which help determine the patient’s condition. These include echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and blood sugar tests. The examinations are reviewed by a cardiology consultant to determine treatment doses, take necessary actions, or refer the patient for follow-up at the National Heart Institute or the local health insurance authority.

• A report is prepared for each school with the number of positive cases discovered, detailing what actions will be taken in the future with these cases.

Target Numbers for the Project:

• Medical examination of 1,750 cases, with 250 cases per center (Medical Convoy).
• Medical examination of 210 cases, with 30 cases per center (Chronic Heart Disease Clinic).
